Date Night
Cody and I had a date last night. We went to watch the Change-Up. It was a super funny movie if you could get past all the profanity.
Thanks Cody for our date! I love you!

Happy 57th Dad
We went to Ringling today to celebrate Dad’s 57th birthday. Mom fried turkey and Grandma made hot rolls. It was a beautiful day!

Meet Yeller
Well Cody has a new bird dog! We picked her up tonight before we went to the Elgin Rodeo! Isn’t she precious!! I told him that she was going to be spoiled rotten!! Gage and I argued all night about who she liked more! I think it was a tie even though she does look awfully peaceful laying on me! haha

Marvals–Trip #6
Cody and I got back from Marval’s last night. You all can be proud. I caught the biggest fish of the trip! It was 23.2 lbs. I guess I can thank my great guide for casting my line in the right spot! :) We also caught the heck out of some trout. However, I kept letting the trout swallow the hook so my lovely guide started making me tie my own hooks on!
Okay, I look absolutely hideous in this picture but here is my striper!!! As you can tell I was having a little trouble holding it up for the picture… lol
School In-Service started today. We will have our kids on Friday. I have to say I am a little excited to start school!! Everything seems to be coming along nicely! I also need to post the final room pictures! It is adorable if I do say so myself!!

Guess where I’m headed???
Marvals!!
You’re in complete shock I know! Cody and I decided to go fish one last time for the summer. We are going kid-less this trip. I’m looking forward to this one for sure! I quite enjoy good quality time with my man!
Luke and his Daddy are going to the Lawton Rangers Rodeo tonight. Luke is beyond thrilled! This will be the first rodeo I have missed with him since he was born. I’m a little sad!!!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I’ll see you all back here on Monday!
PS. Did I mention school starts in 9 days! BLAH! Summer I miss you already!

Classroom Construction
I spent 6 hours in my classroom today. Here is what I got accomplished! I still have A LOT to do! I have mixed tropical and ocean. It seems to have worked pretty well. I still have to put some border up and do some massive cleaning with the stuff that is still on the floor. But the walls seem to look ok! Tell me what you think! :)

Happy Birthday Grayson Kayne!
My sister had Grayson’s 1st birthday on Saturday! She did a great job hosting! It was adorable and everyone seemed to have a great time! She even had a moon bounce for the kids! She’s so thoughtful!
To Grayson: As your aunt, I am here for you always! All you have to do is call and I will be there! I know your mom and I are dreading the day you and Luke are running around giving us gray hair! But we will love every minute of it too! You are a precious little boy! We love you!

Marval–Trip #5
Cody, myself, Gage and Gracie went to Marval’s this week. Luke stayed with his daddy for some quality time. I missed him like crazy and I know he would have had a great time but it’s always good for him to have daddy time too! :)
Anyways! Cody caught his biggest fish of the year this week. It was 27.8. He was thrilled. Here he is weighing the big fella!
Posing shirtless with it at my request! :) You’re welcome! LOL
Cody and Corey cleaning fish! Poor guys worked FOREVER! :)
The McElhaney crew that was there. Cody and his kids and Corey and Christine!
Cody took me and the kids up this morning to see if we could catch some more Striper. Lets just say it was a great day! I hooked and reeled in my second striper of the year and it was 21.7. YEAH ME! Cody was weighing it for me!
Had to get a pic with it!!
Then the little punk, Gage, had to show me up by catching a 26 pounder!! Dang kids!! :)
My gracious I love Marvals!! Not only is it gorgeous, it is so much fun! Cody and I are going back without the kids the weekend before school starts. I love the bonding time while fishing!
Hello my abandoned classroom!
Well friends, I assume that summer is ALMOST officially over!! I always get so excited for the beginning of the year but I get a little sad too. I know that I will be welcoming new babies into my classroom but I will have to send my personal baby back to daycare!!
Apparently, I just got off on a tangent! So back to my classroom! Since I am doing a tropical theme, I decided to paint my dreadful black bulletin boards to something a little brighter!! So I went with blue like the ocean!!! :)
Oh just wait until you see what I have in store for this room come next week!! It will be transformed!!
Until then, Here are the BEFORE pictures of the paint!
AFTER!
