Hexagons

So I decided to get real crazy and try hexagons. I cut out over 150 of those little babies. I still have to put black ones around the outside edges on this one. But I just keep thinking about all the sewing that is going to go into this quilt… I think this will be the “when I’m bored and don’t have anything else to do” quilt.

Wish me luck!

Gracie’s Green/Black Quilt

I decided to get a little more creative with this quilt. I cut strips of different colors and then sewed them together to make a block. Then sewed all the blocks together. I didn’t think it was long enough so I added 3 strips on each end. After getting it done I should have added some to the sides too but she seems to love it just like it is. On the back I put minky fabric. Can you say soft?!!?!

Luke’s Baseball Quilt

I made a baseball quilt for Luke for his birthday. He loves it. He has used it every night! And always asks for it!

1st Quilt

So I have a new addiction! QUILTING!! It all started with the Quilt Show in Duncan. This is my first quilt. It is a very rough draft. But it did show me that I can sew 2 pieces of fabric together. :)

Hunting dogs…

I went out to run dogs with Cody and took my camera. I got some pretty good pictures of Tripp and Gunner. Cody leaves for South Dakota tomorrow and so he’s been getting them in shape! They will be gone 8 days… Momma is going to miss her hubby and the pups.

Our 1st grade classes took a trip to the Tiger Safari in Tuttle, Ok. It was really neat!! I would recommend it to anyone! My co-partner and I both got to feed a tiger, ride on a turtle and hold an owl. It was awesome!
